Stopscams

Stopscams is a community-powered platform that helps people identify and avoid online scams, fraud, phishing attempts, and spam. Our mission is to create a safer internet by leveraging collective intelligence.

How it works

Anyone can search for a website, email address, phone number, or IP address to check its reputation. If the entry doesn't exist yet, it's automatically created. The community then reports their experiences, and our algorithm calculates a Trust Score from 0 (dangerous) to 100 (trustworthy).

Trust Score

The Trust Score is calculated based on the number and type of community reports, user testimonials, and severity ratings. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team to prevent abuse.

Anti-abuse

We use IP-based rate limiting, CSRF protection, and manual moderation to ensure the integrity of all reports. Abusive or false reports are rejected and repeat offenders may be blocked.
